As a collaboration between Four East Staffordshire schools and Staffordshire CC DIP we are seeking to improve the education and life chances of students in our schools who are struggling to engage with education. Our schools are Abbot Beyne, Paget High School, John Taylor High School and Paulet High School. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly effective Student Behaviour Support Officer to set up and lead our new Key Stage 3 Inclusion Unit. The main responsibilities in this post are working with a small number of students from our four schools with the aim to improve their behaviour in a twelve week cycle so they can successfully return to their home school. This is an excellent opportunity for inspirational, enthusiastic and well-qualified staff to join our ambitious teams. This role will provide support for students who are struggling to fully engage in education. The successful candidate will support students on issues including behaviour, self-regulation, engagement and attendance. The ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and parents is imperative in ensuring that effective pastoral support is provided for all students. Previous experience working with young people facing barriers to learning will be advantageous for the role.
