R. 1865 AN ACT To designate certain lands in the San Isabel National Forest, in Colorado, as the Spanish Peaks Wilderness. 1 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa- 2 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 1 SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 2 This Act may be cited as the ``Spanish Peaks Wilder- 3 ness Act of 1998''. 4 SEC. 2. DESIGNATION OF WILDERNESS. 5 (a) AMENDMENT.ÐSection 2 of the Colorado Wilder- 6 ness Act of 1993 (Public Law 103±77) is amended by add- 7 ing the following new paragraph at the end of subsection 8 (a): 9 ``(20) Certain lands in the San Isabel National 10 Forest which comprise approximately 18,000 acres, 11 as generally depicted on a map entitled `Proposed 12 Spanish Peaks Wilderness', dated May 1997, and 13 which shall be known as the Spanish Peaks Wilder- 14 ness.''. 15 (b) MAP AND DESCRIPTION.ÐAs soon as practicable 16 after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary of 17 Agriculture shall file a map and a boundary description 18 of the area designated as the Spanish Peaks Wilderness 19 by paragraph (20) of subsection 2(a) of the Colorado Wil- 20 derness Act of 1993, as amended by this Act, with the 21 Committee on Resources of the House of Representatives 22 and the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources of 23 the Senate. Such map and boundary description shall have 24 the same force and effect as if included in the Colorado 25 Wilderness Act of 1993, except that if the Secretary is 26 authorized to correct clerical and typographical errors in •HR 1865 EH 3 1 such boundary description and map. Such map and bound- 2 ary description shall be on file and available for public in- 3 spection in the Office of the Chief of the Forest Service, 4 Department of Agriculture. 5 SEC. 3. CONFORMING CHANGE. 6 Section 10 of the Colorado Wilderness Act of 1993 7 (Public Law 103±77) is hereby repealed, and section 11 8 of such Act is renumbered as section 10.
