Dogwood Regatta Fairhope Yacht Club March 22nd - 24th, 2019 Registration: FYC will offer registration Friday for the PHRF/ Portsmouth Fleets and the day of the event at the club and as outlined below. Rules All races will be governed by the 2017-2020 Racing Rules of Sailing, the current prescriptions of U.S. Sailing, and One Design Class rules when not in conflict with the forgoing and FYC Sailing Instructions. Expected Classes PHRF & Portsmouth (Racing Saturday only except in the case of inclement weather) Sport Boats (X-Boats Allowed): Viper 640, VX-1 One Design/ Junior (Three boats will constitute a class): Rhodes 19, 420, Laser Radial, Sunfish, Optimist RWB Schedule of Events Friday 6:00 -7:00PM Registration for PHRF & Portsmouth 7:30 PM PHRF and Portsmouth Skippers Meeting Saturday 9:00-11:00 AM Registration for One Design & Juniors 10:25AM PHRF & Portsmouth Warning – Trophy Presentation to follow the last race of the day 11:00 AM One Design & Junior Skippers meeting 12:25 PM One Design & Juniors Warning Sunday 10:25 AM One Design and Juniors Warning Trophy Presentation to follow the last race of the day Food Friday 5:30 PM Bar open and full menu is available Sat. & Sun. 8:30 AM Continental breakfast – FYC will offer lunch downstairs at 11AM Saturday (full menu available upstairs) Sailing Instructions -- The Sailing Instructions will be available at registration. Racing Area -- The racing area will be Mobile Bay. Entry Fees Juniors $35 ($30 USSA Member) One Design $45 ($40 USSA Member) PHRF/Portsmouth/ Sport $55 ($50 USSA Member) Scoring Scoring will be in accordance with RRS Appendix A except that the number of races completed to allow one (1) throw- out is five (5). (This Changes RRS A2). Ties will be resolved in accordance with RRS Appendix A. Multiple races will be attempted, however, one race completed shall constitute a series.
