The tours use public transport, i.e. regular buses, ferries and boats, but we have done the planning for you so that you can concentrate on enjoying your trip. You travel on your own - there is no guide or tour leader. On most of our tours you must change several times between different buses/ferries/boats, and it is up to you to make sure you catch your connections – truly travelling like a local! (The tours are set up so that the buses, ferries and boats connect.) Visit Hardanger Folk Museum Eidfjord - Kinsarvik - Utne - Kvanndal - Granvin - Eidfjord Travel from Eidfjord to Kinsarvik along the scenic Hardangerfjord, and cross the fjord by ferry to the idyllic village of Utne. On Saturdays the bus goes via Odda, and then along the eastern side of the fjord. Sit back and enjoy the breathtaking views. Utne is a small and beautiful village set by the Hardangerfjord. Take your time and visit the Hardanger Folk Museum, a regional museum for Hardanger. Experience exhibits of Hardanger embroidery, traditional costumes and Norway`s largest collection of old Hardanger fiddles. Historic buildings and land art in the open air museum. Remember to browse in the gift shop. Hardanger Folk Museum is open every day from 02 May – 01 September, from 10:00 - 17:00. The rest of the year the opening hours are from 09:00 – 15:00, Monday to Friday. Utne Hotel, located by the quay, is one the oldest hotels in Norway. For several hundred years the hotel has offered a tradition of high-quality care and attention to its guests. Enjoy a cup of coffee and embrace the atmosphere. A ferry will take you across the Hardangerfjord to Kvanndal. The travel continues via Granvin, across the Hardanger Bridge and along the fjord back to Eidfjord.
