Highlights Electrica Group is one of the main distributors and suppliers of electricity on the Romanian market. The Group’s core business segments are the distribution of electricity to users and the supply of electricity to household and non-household consumers. Electrica’s distribution segment operates through its subsidiaries: Societatea de Distributie a Energiei Electrice Muntenia Nord (“SDMN”), Societatea de Distributie a Energiei Electrice Transilvania Nord (“SDTN”), Societatea de Distributie a Energiei Electrice Transilvania Sud (“SDTS”) and Electrica Serv (“ELSERV”), and it is geographically limited to 18 counties from the hystorical regions Muntenia and Transylvania, in what concerns the distribution subsidiaries. The Group holds exclusive distribution licenses for these regions, which are valid until 2027, and may be extended for another 25 years. Within its service for distribution activity, EL SERV provides maintenance, repair and various services to group companies (car rental, rental of buildings etc.) as well as repairs and other related services to third parties. The electricity supply segment operates through Electrica Furnizare (“EFSA”) subsidiary, and the main activity is the supply of electricity to final customers, both as the supplier of last resort (in the geographic regions where the Group's distribution segment operates) and as a competitive supplier, all over Romania.
