We do consider that the plan provision for sand and gravel should be maintained at an I appropriate level and that the present level may not make adequate provision for the level of demand within the County. Taking account of new development within Nottinghamshire (and to a lesser degree South Yorkshire and Derbyshire), the proposed level of mineral provision within the Plan should not be reduced and possibly increased to allow for future growth which is currently lacking. 6.
