Jones to the Agricultural Chemical Response Compensation Board. Jones, of St. James, is the general manager of NuWay Cooperative in Trimont. He has held a number of positions with NuWay during the 15-and-a-half years he has been with the Coop. Previously, he worked in the agronomy and feed division with Watonwan Farm Service, and worked on a family farm. Jones earned an agribusiness management degree from Ridgewater College in Willmar, and is a certified crop advisor. He is a member of the Farm Bureau, Statewide Managers Association, Southern Minnesota Managers Association, Minnesota Petroleum Association, Minnesota Propane Gas Association, Cooperative Network, and Minnesota Crop Protection Retailers. Jones replaces Jeff Like on the Agricultural Chemical Response Compensation Board as a representative of agricultural chemical retailers to complete a four-year term that expires on January 2, 2012. The Agricultural Chemical Response and Reimbursement Account (ACRRA) was created under the 1989 Minnesota Ground Water Protection Act to provide financial assistance to cleanup agricultural chemical contamination. The program is funded through annual surcharges on pesticide and fertilizer sales, and on applicator and dealer licenses. The ACRRA funds are administered by the Agricultural Chemical Response Compensation Board. Bolduc and Jon M. Magnuson to the Board of Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST Board). Both are appointed to four-year terms that expire on January 6, 2014. Bolduc, of Fort Ripley, is the Brainerd Police Chief, a position he has held since 2001. Previously, he was the Mora Police Chief from 1998 to 2001. He began his law enforcement career as a peace officer with the city of Maple Grove from 1986 to 1998, where he held several positions including training officer, investigator, sergeant, and SWAT Team Commander. Bolduc earned his bachelor’s degree from Bemidji State University, is a graduate of the skills program at Alexandria Technical College, the FBI National Academy, North Hennepin Leadership Academy, and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension Management Series. He is vice president of the Minnesota Chiefs of Police Association, and serves on the advisory committees of Alexandria Technical College, Minnesota Teen Challenge, and The Salvation Army. Bolduc, who has been a member of the POST Board since 2003, and chair since January 2008, is reappointed as chair and as a representative of municipal police chiefs. Magnuson, of Alexandria, is a peace officer education instructor with the Law Enforcement Program at Alexandria Technical College, a position he has held since 2000. Previously, he was a full-time law enforcement instructor at the Law Enforcement Training Center at Normandale Community College in Bloomington after 10 years as a police officer with the White Bear Lake Police Department. Magnuson earned his associate of science degree in law enforcement from Lakewood Community College in White Bear Lake, and holds a vocational education teaching license. Magnuson is a past vice president of the Fraternal Order of Police Minnesota Lodge 10, and an advisor for the Alexandria Technical College Law Enforcement Club. Magnuson, who was a member of the POST Board from 1996 to 2004, was appointed to the board again in November 2008 as a representative of former peace officers currently employed in a peace officer education program, and is currently vice chair of the board. The Board of Peace Officer Standards and Training establishes minimum qualifications and standards of conduct and regulates professional peace officer education and continuing education programs. Gormley, and the reappointment of Michael S. Jordan, Patrick W. Lee, Gary S. Pearson, and Marlys Tanner to the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Regulatory Board. All five are appointed to four-year terms that expire on January 6, 2014. Gormley, of Bricelyn, is the Faribault County Sheriff, a position he has held since 2007. He was a deputy Faribault County Sheriff from 1995 to 2007, became lead investigator in 2002, and second in command in 2006. He has also been the Kiester Police Chief and a part-time police officer with the city of Minnesota Lake. Gormley holds a bachelor of science degree in law enforcement from Mankato State University, is a certified D.A.R.E. officer, and participated in a federal internship with the U.S. Customs Service Criminal Division in Minneapolis. Gormley is a volunteer with Bricelyn Fire and Ambulance, and serves as a member of the Faribault County Fire Association, Faribault County Ambulance Association, South Central Drug Investigative Unit Executive Board, Faribault Methamphetamine Education Task Force, Faribault County Adult and Child Protection Teams, and Children First of Faribault County. Gormley replaces Robert Jensen on the EMS Regulatory Board as a representative of county sheriffs. Jordan, of Apple Valley, is the director of civil rights with the city of Minneapolis. He has over 30 years of experience working in a variety of positions in government, corporate, and non-profits, which include serving as the public information coordinator for the St. Paul Police Department and commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, and business unit director for Honeywell, Inc. Jordan earned his juris doctorate degree from the University of St. Thomas Law School in Minneapolis, his master’s degree in management from Stanford University Graduate School of Business in Stanford, California, and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota. Jordan, who has been a member of the EMS Regulatory Board since April 2009, is reappointed as a public member. Lee, of Two Harbors, is the executive director of the Arrowhead EMS Association in Duluth. Previously, he was the CEO and Director of Lake County Ambulance, and has 20 years of experience as a professional manager in the EMS field. He is a member of the Northeastern Minnesota Regional Advisory Committee, Northeast Regional Hospital Preparedness Group Executive Board, Region 2 Homeland Security Emergency Management Board, and Minnesota Ambulance Strike Team, and has served on numerous EMS-related boards in the past, including the Arrowhead EMS Board of Directors.
