Dalog and Hofer, entitled: "AN ACT EXTENDING THE DEADLINE FOR COMPLIANCE OF THE MOUNTAIN PROVINCE STATE POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE COMMISSION ON HIGHER EDUCATION FOR ITS CONVERSION INTO A STATE UNIVERSITY, AMENDING FOR THE PURPOSE REPUBLIC ACT NO. 10583, ENTITLED: "AN ACT CONVERTING THE MOUNTAIN PROVINCE STATE POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BONTOC, MOUNTAIN PROVINCE INTO A STATE UNIVERSITY TO BE KNOWN AS THE MOUNTAIN PROVINCE STATE UNIVERSITY, WITH CAMPUSES IN THE MUNICIPALITIES OF TADIAN, BAUKO, PARACELIS AND BARLIG, ALL LOCATED IN MOUNTAIN PROVINCE AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR" has considered the same and has the honor to report it back to the Senate with the recommendation that it be approved with the following amendments: 1. ON PAGE 1, LINE 6, DELETE THE COMMA (,) FOLLOWING THE WORD "ACT". 2. ON THE SAME PAGE AND LINE, DELETE THE PHRASE "UNLESS IN THE MEANTIME" AND IN LIEU THEREOF, INSERT THE WORD "UNTIL". 3. ON PAGE 2, LINES 1 AND 2, DELETE THE PHRASE "ON OR BEFORE JANUARY 31, 2021". THE PARAGRAPH SHALL NOW READ AS FOLLOWS: "THE INSTITUTION SHALL RETAIN ITS STATUS PRIOR TO THE EFFECTIVITY OF THIS ACT UNTIL IT IS ABLE TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS PROVIDED HEREIN." 4. IN THE TITLE, DELETE THE PHRASE "EXTENDING THE DEADLINE FOR COMPLIANCE OF THE MOUNTAIN PROVINCE STATE POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE COMMISSION ON HIGHER EDUCATION FOR ITS CONVERSION INTO A STATE UNIVERSITY," 5. ALSO IN THE TITLE, AFTER THE WORD "AMENDING", DELETE THE PHRASE "FOR THE PURPOSE". Section 24 of Republic Act No. 10583 is hereby amended 2 to read as follows: 3 ‘‘Sec. 24. Compliance With CHED Requirements. — 4 *‘x X X , 5 “The institution shall retain its status prior to the 6 effectivity of this Act, unless in the meantime it is able to 7 comply with the requirements provided hercin[, within a period 1 not exceeding January 1, 2016]ON OR before J anuary 31, 2 2021 ” 3 SEC, 2. All laws, executive orders, decrees, instructions, rules and 4 regulations contrary to or inconsistent with any provision of this Act are 5 hereby amended, repealed or modified accordingly. 6 Sec. 3. This Act shall take efiect fifteen (15) days after its publication 7 in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation. Approved, o.
