1 Preesall Fleetwood's Charity School Spring Term 01 Thursday 09Th

Preesall Fleetwood’s Charity School Spring Term 01 Thursday 09th January 2020 Luke 6:31 (Do to others as you would have them do to you) Happy New Year! It has been good to catch up with all the children this week and to hear about their Christmases. If anyone has got a new phone with a new number, please let us know – and also if any other home information has changed. Mrs Edwards Mrs Edwards is moving away from the area and unfortunately, she will be far too far away to continue working with us. She has been working here since 2004 as a Teaching Assistant and more recently she has given a lot of children very valuable support as our Learning Mentor. She will be finishing at the end of next week, although she will be dropping in when she can for a little while longer to see some of the children she has been supporting. I can’t thank her enough for the very personalised way in which she has supported our children and I wish her every success. Hopefully she will find a school near to her new home where she can help some other children to grow in confidence and to boost their learning. J.Belshire Parents’ Forum next Friday 17th January 2020 (2:30pm -3:15pm) The focus for next week’s meeting will be to talk through how we support children with additional needs in lessons and around school. The aim is for this to be a two-way conversation, with ideas from parents welcome. So we can plan a suitable venue for the meeting, please let us know if you are coming along – either by email or in person to Mrs Rapaccioli: [email protected] Confirmation Reverend Andy Shaw has sent details about this year’s confirmation classes: This year's Confirmation service for the Over Wyre parishes (Stalmine, Preesall/Knott End, Hambleton, Out Rawcliffe, Pilling/Eagland Hill) will be on 17th May, 10.30, at St Oswald's, Preesall. Group preparation classes will be held at St James' Stalmine on the following Thursday evenings (18.00- 20.0): 26 March, 2, 23, & 30 April, 7, 14, & 21 May. Anyone in school Year 6 or above who wishes to be confirmed should contact the vicar (Rev Andy Shaw) on 01253799895, email: [email protected] Dance This half term Year 2 and year 4 will have curriculum dance sessions with Miss Gemma on a Wednesday afternoon. They will need pumps or modern shoes and may bring dance clothes if they wish. After school Cheer and Street Dance will re-start on Wednesday 18th January 2020. Please make sure any outstanding fees are paid to Miss Laura. Special lunch for Owl family group The Owl family group will be having a specially provided lunch tomorrow, Friday 10th January 2020 for obtaining the most reward points last half term.
