A relationship with Angkor Krau village was a start between Japanese experts sent for restoration projects of Angkor monuments and restoration workers from the village. JST was established in 2005 as a local NGO. JST’s aim is to provide the opportunity in which heritage, villagers working in the restoration site, and foreign visitors can come together to enjoy the history and culture of Cambodia. In order to be DevelopDevelop withwith locallocal CommunityCommunity self-independent and sustainable development, we have just started new activities! Cooperating together ! JST is now providing two mini-projects; raising fi sh and growing vegetable in Bayon Junior High School. These two projects are going so well because of the cooperation between the teachers and students. Students are willingly to shear their work such as watering vegetable and feeding fish. All the yield of vegetable and fish will be sold to restaurants and markets in the town, moreover, all the profi t will be used for operation cost of this project in the next season. In the near future, we’d like to use the profi t for the cost of school management, too.
