Three Dog Night was one of the most successful bands of the late 1960's and early 1970's, recording 21 consecutive Top 40 hits and earning 12 gold albums. Unlike most classic bands, Three Dog Night wrote only a handful of their own hits. Their classic hits include "One" written by Harry Nilsson, "Easy to Be Hard" by Gerome Ragni, James Rado, and Galt MacDermot, "Eli's Comin'" by Laura Nyro, "Mama Told Me Not to Come" by Randy Newman, "An Old Fashioned Love Song" (by Paul Williams), "Joy to the World" and "Never Been to Spain" by Hoyt Axton, "Black and White" by Arkin & Robinson, and "Shambala" by Daniel Moore. Veteran performers John Gebhardt, Bradley Ford and Dave Alcantar have joined up to create this memorable tribute to the music of Three Dog Night with a group named "3DN." HHT fans will remember Ford as the lead singer for Fortunate Son, the tribute band for Creedence Clearwater Revival. Fortunate Son has performed two sold out shows at HHT and will be back in November for their third appearance. Meanwhile, there are still tickets left for the Tribute to Supertramp featuring Fools Logic on Saturday September 8th. Showtime for all Tribute Mania concerts is 7:00 pm, with doors open at 6:15 pm. Tickets are $22 presale / $25 day of show. Tickets for the Tribute to Supertramp are selling quickly but are expected to be available through day of show.
