Governor & Chief Minister accord red carpet welcome to President of India By : INVC Team Published On : 2 Jun, 2016 05:48 PM IST INVC NEWS New Delhi, Governor Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh today accorded red carpet welcome to the President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee on his arrival at Kalyani helipad in Shimla today. The President is on five-day visit to the State.The President landed at Kalyani Helipad at 1.45 PM. Ms. Sharmistha Mukherjee, daughter of the President of India also accompanied him. He will also preside over the convocation of IGMC on 3rd June 2016 at Peterhoff and later in the evening he is to attend state banquet at Raj Bhawan. Forest Minister Shri Thakur Singh Bharmouri and Rural development and Panchayati Raj Minister Shri Anil Sharma, who is also designated as Minister-in-waiting for the President’s visit were also present on the occasion. Mayor, Shri Sanjay Chauhan, Deputy Mayor, Shri Tikendar Panwar, Chief Secretary, Shri V.C Pharka, Director General of Police, Shri Sanjay Kumar, GOC-in-C ARTRAC, Lt Gen Shri P.M.
