COUNTY OF ALLEGHENY Rich Fitzgerald County Executive FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: Parks Department June 1, 2015 412-350-2455 County Pools & Spray Parks Open for Season on Saturday, June 6 PITTSBURGH – The Allegheny County Parks Department today announced that the Boyce Park Wave Pool, North Park Swimming Pool, Settlers Cabin Park Wave Pool and South Park Wave Pool will open for the season on Saturday, June 6. Daily hours of operation are 11:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m., weather and conditions permitting. The 2015 daily admission rates for the county pools are as follows: Resident Non-Resident Rate Rate Senior $3 $4 (Ages 60 & Older) Adult $6 $8 (Ages 18-59) Junior & Youth $5 $6 (Ages 6-17) Child $1 $1 (Ages 5 & Under) If a pool does not open by 2:00 p.m. due to inclement weather, it will remain closed for the remainder of the day. County Pool Passes Family, individual and senior season pool passes are now available for purchase online at www.alleghenycounty.us/parkpasses or in person, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Boyce Park, North Park, Settlers Cabin Park and South Park administration buildings, as well as at all four county pools, 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., daily. Photo ID pool passes will provide free access seven days a week to all four county pools, except on Independence Day and Labor Day, when regular admission rates will apply. Proper proof of identification (driver’s license, state photo ID, etc.) and proof of residency must be provided at the time of purchase. Total payment must also be made at the time of purchase. Cash, checks, money orders, Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
