Long range plan review February 2013 1.a.1 We are in the process of evaluating proposals to hire an engineering/architectural firm to do a study of the structure and the mechanics of this building before moving on with the project. 3.a.1 The average number of daily visitors to the library’s facebook page from 9/12 to 12/12 is 157. 3.b.1 The average number of daily visitors from 11/12 to 1/13 to the Children’s Room blog is 22. 3.c.1 Counters have been implemented on web pages using Google analytics 4.a.1 Various collection reports have been used to evaluate and develop the teen collection. 5.b.1 47 total visits to the Community Information page on the website from 9/12 to 12/12 5.c.4 Librarians have been using a variety of collection reports to evaluation and develop library collections. 6.a.1 87 families signed up for the Local History Scavenger Hunt and 125 families picked up materials at the Perinton Recreation Center or from the Historical Society. An unknown number printed the materials off from the Town’s website. 70 families returned the completed entries. All families responding to the survey indicated that they enjoyed the experience and learned something new. 85% said that they told others about the experience and 10% had taken others to see some of the sites. 6.b.1 See attached report on library collaborations 7.a.1 Research is being conducted on advisory committees 8.a.1 A teen suggestion box has been put in the teen area to collect ongoing feedback. 10.a.1 Internet connection upgraded to MetroE in July 2012. Offsite backup procedure implemented 10/12. 10.g.1 Staff continually monitors and evaluates the status of ebook lending from various publishers and services. Staff continues to prepare and update instructional materials. Classes have been given for ebook use. Four have been given in the first two months of 2013 Services have been explored as they have become available. Approximately 7,000 items were downloaded to Fairport/Perinton residents from 11/12 to 1/13 10.h.1 Laptop computers for public use using the wireless network – service started 7/12 13.c.1 At least 5 daycares have been visited each month that story time is offered at the library 13.c.2 5 evening story times were held between 9/12 and 2/13 13.d.4 63 displays were set up in the Children’s Room between 9/12 and 2/13 13.e.1 Collections of local history materials were displayed and highlighted during the Perinton Bicentennial. This project is completed. 13.e.2 Local history materials were included in a story time this fall Contact was made with the new Perinton Historical Museum director to coordinate and collaborate on children’s programming.
