About You: As a Ruby Engineer at Cordata, you will be involved in a collaborative startup culture where you will stretch your engineering muscles to provide strategy and execution to our core products. We like our engineers to be well versed in technology with skills that span from the front­end to APIs to the back­end database but we do hire across specialties. You stay current with technology so that you can provide unique innovation to Cordata daily. As a passionate, self­driven, seasoned software developer who loves some degree of autonomy we want you to join our team. ​ Responsibilities ● Develop features for the Cordata platform using Ruby, Ruby on Rails or Ruby using the ​ Padrino Framework ● Building RESTful API services ● You have expertise in object­oriented design and development ● Understanding and experience creating and executing automated unit tests ● Familiarity and experience working with a relational database such as: SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Sybase, Oracle Preferred ● 5+ years of experience in Ruby, Ruby on Rails ● Experience with Padrino framework is preferred ● Demonstrated ability with web­development, OOP, SQL, JavaScript ● Experience designing and creating RESTful API services ● Experience and expertise working with ORM frameworks ● An entrepreneur's soul and the ability to thrive in an agile environment Traits of a Cordata Database Developer ​ ● You’re nice and can play well with others. ● You love to code and keep us with best practices ● You’re hungry to learn ● An entrepreneur's soul and the ability to thrive in an agile environment .
