Wildcard Weekend at the SAS Championship allows for one player who finishes in TOP10 the top 10, but is outside the top 72 on the money list, to advance to the Playoffs. Charles Schwab Cup Playoffs begin and money earned during EVENTS the regular season converts to points. (i.e. $375,000 is now 3 375,000 points) 72 players compete at the PowerShares QQQ Championship contested at Sherwood CC in Thousand Oaks, CA. Players 72 earn two points for every dollar earned. 54 players advance to the Dominion Charity Classic in Richmond, VA. The Country Club of Virginia’s James River Course plays host to the penultimate playoff 54 event. Players earn two points for every dollar earned. 36 players advance to the Charles Schwab Cup Championship. Points are assigned and tiered based on current playoff standings (i.e. 1st=2,000, 36 2nd=1,500...) Every player has a mathematical chance of winning the Charles Schwab Cup. 1 CHAMPION.
