Dr. Sergio Ruy Barroso de Mello Graduated in 1988 at Rio de Janeiro Federal University Law School (UFRJ), has experience in civil, commercial, insurance and reinsurance law and civil liability in general. Worked in the legal departments of some insurance companies in Brazil, especially Companhia Internacional de Seguros, where he worked for fourteen years and became chief counsel of the legal department. Then he founded the Pellon & Associados office in 1991, where he currently works. He has a postgraduate specialization in private law from Fluminense Federal University (UFF) and a PHD in insurance and reinsurance contracts at the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC) in Spain.
