The mission of the Korea Foundation is to promote better understanding of Korea within the international community and to increase friendship and goodwill between Korea and the rest of the world through various exchange programs. The Korea Foundation also aims to foster global friendship by conducting a wide range of exchange activities between Korea and foreign countries around the world. The Foundation is an independent organization affiliated with the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The Foundation‟s main areas of activities include: Hosting, supporting and participating in various international exchange events Dispatching and inviting people for international exchanges Supporting overseas research on Korea and distributing results Promoting an accurate perception and understanding of Korea in the international community Promoting international friendship through cooperation with international exchange organizations Supporting activities of organizations related to overseas Koreans in order to enhance the image of Korea in the international community and to improve
