On May 24 1888 Alacrity PZ84 struck a rock while entering Scilly and with an ebbing tide stayed there aground. When the tide had ebbed she was on a rock five foot wide and fourteen foot long and was lying on her side. Some 200 hand stripped her of nets, footlines, ballast etc, after that they raised her so she was nearly upright. She floated off on the next tide with no damage. Active war service. Other information suggests that the Albania went to Mousehole and was renamed Orion. Later she was converted to motor and in 1935 went to Swansea. Captain Samuel Pearce had just taken in his ice for the week's fishery when the committee asked the loan of the Alcada for their work. It was at once granted and the craft moored a short distance off the quay-head.
