Type-species: Ornipholidotos larseni Stempffer, 1969. The genus Torbenia belongs to the Family Lycaenidae Leach, 1815; Subfamily Poritiini Doherty, 1886; Tribe Pentilini Aurivillius, 1914. The other genera in the Tribe Pentilini in the Afrotropical Region are Durbania, Durbaniella, Durbaniopsis, Alaena, Ptelina, Pentila, Liptenara, Telipna, Ornipholidotos and Cooksonia. Torbenia (Glasswins) is a purely Afrotropical genus containing five species.
