When I Ithink of all of the things we accomplished and participated in, it is quite a lot. Every month our directors have been running multiple events that have added up to many hours of service, dollars raised, and entertaining social events. Financial Secretary of the Council who helped immensely and didn’t let me forget anything important. But it is the officers, directors, and willing members of the Council that take our Council from one successful year to the next. This was a year of transition for our parish as we prepared to move to the Boyette Road property. We had some growing pains with using the new facilities and not being able to do things the way we used to. Next year will probably be a little easier, but with some challenges, as we look to trying some new events and completing our move to our new spaces in the Family Life Center. We had a great RJS fundraising year, not just in funds raised, but in the revitalized spirit of charity and volunteerism. We had wonderful participation in Pro-Life and our Day of Reflection. We had great turnout for the IncrediBull Games, and we had our first off-site Tootsie Roll Drive. We had 13 new Knights join our Council and several transfers. It is a joy to see our new additions joining in the activities and operation of the Council. We had a good advancement of Knights to the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Degrees. We instituted a formal standing Retention Committee, headed by DGK Bruce Czaja, which will increase our advancements, participation, and hopefully bring some of our Brothers back to good standing.
