Community policing letter for Ashton Hayes, Duddon, Clotton, Hoofield, Kelsall, Mouldsworth & Tarvin. February - March 2013 Ashton Hayes I have utilised the services of ‘Street-clean’ provided via CWAC to remove the old graffiti from the rear of Ashton Hayes village hall that has been in situ for a couple of years. On 1st March unknown offenders have smashed the windows of an excavator on Church road Ashton Hayes, If you have any information regarding this crime please call us. On 24th of February 2013 an Orange KTM motorcycle registration SP03FWG was stolen from a lay by on Delamere road, Ashton. Mouldsworth Officers are continuing to target speeding motorists through the village. During a speed enforcement operation on Sunday 3rd of March 10 tickets were issued to motorists for exceeding the 30mph limit all were caught doing in excess of 38mph! Tarvin Officers have taken complaints regarding youths leaving litter behind in Meadow close Tarvin. We and the Community safety wardens will be giving the area more attention. A burglary took place on Poole bank industrial estate on the evening of Sunday 17th of February. Offenders made considerable effort to steal a floor safe which may confirm the theory that crime doesn’t pay as the safe was empty. If you have any information regarding this crime please call us. During February Traffic enforcement officers have conducted a speed enforcement operation on the A51Clotton, A51 Tarvin and Chester road Kelsall. Officers issued 1 endorsable fixed penalty notice, 26 verbal warnings and 4 driver training referral schemes to motorists. Kelsall A burglary took place overnight on 3rd of March at The Royal Oak in Kelsall. If you have any information regarding this crime please call us. Officers have received a complaint regarding youths up to no good on Kelsall Park and will be giving the location some extra attention. Community safety wardens have also been asked to give the location some more attention. We have taken a report of an attempted fraud over the telephone where the caller has demanded cash be transferred to a bank account and the caller claiming to be monitoring their internet use. Our advice is simple; do not give out any bank account details or transfer cash to strangers over the telephone. We have taken reports of vehicles congregating and littering on Hall Lane Kelsall by the flyover. NPU officers, PCSO’s and Community safety wardens will be patrolling the area.
