¥ 4 THE SECRETARY-GENERAL 20 October 2005 Dear Mr. Ambassador, It is with deep regret that I have learned that Lance Naik Sadaqat Hussain, a member of the Pakistani Contingent of the United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL), died on 8 October 2005, while on leave in his country. I should be grateful if you would convey to your Government and to the bereaved family my heartfelt condolences on the death of Lance Naik Hussain, as well as my appreciation of the services rendered by him to the United Nations efforts for peace in Liberia. I would also like to express to you once again my appreciation of the contribution of the Government of Pakistan to this United Nations peacekeeping operation.
