Prime topped at 204ppk for a nicely covered 530kg purebred Limousin steer from Michael Ayre of Thorverton followed by smart Blonde cattle from Bottor Rock Farms, Hennock who saw a 650kg steer reach 200ppk and £1296 and a 590kg heifer rise to 196ppk and £1157. Further quality Blonde bred prime from Keith and Hilary Harvey of Bovey Tracey saw their best steer to 197ppk and £1259 whilst a 600kg Blonde heifers from the Harvey’s also reached 197ppk and realised £1179. Phillip Haydon of Cheriton Bishop sold a smashing 600kg Limousin heifer for 196ppk and £1173 followed by his 680kg South Devon steer which sold for 188ppk and £1286. Bill Hobbs of Moretonhampstead saw his well-fleshed 580kg Limousin heifer draw 194ppk and £1130 whilst Graham Tancock of Broadclyst sold a heavyweight 716kg Blue steer for 188ppk or £1342. A nice run of Devon heifers from Miles and Gail Fursdon of Widecombe in the Moor saw the better ones to 188ppk and £1083. Barren cows topped 153ppk for a young Angus from The Tully Partnership of Brixham whilst a very decent 680kg red Limousin made 138ppk or £935 for John Towill and daughter of Shaldon. Further Angus cows of note reached 134ppk (£958) for Stephen Slade and family of Aylesbeare and 129ppk (£944) for Robert and William Reddaway of South Tawton whilst a 820kg Devon cow from Arthur Salter of Broadclyst saw 115ppk and £938.
