Once you set up your customized Insight search, the results are available each day to download in Comma Separated Value (CSV) format from the secure CMD-hosted site, accessible using File Transfer Format (FTP). Your search results are updated daily with both new projects and as well as continuous updates to projects you are tracking for development. About this document This document contains a comprehensive description of the CMD CSV Format file, including field descriptions, location of the file, and the procedure for downloading the file. Who should use this document This document is intended for system administrators and other technical personnel for use as a reference for customizing the data imported using the CMD CRM CSV format file. Contact CMD if you have any questions about the content or use of this document. File name, location and access Your customized CRM data export CSV file is available for download by way of FTP each day by 8:00 AM Eastern Standard Time. The file is compressed into a .zip format and uses the following naming convention: DL_<customer_name>_CSV_YYYYMMDD.zip Example: The filename for April 5, 2009 is DL_ Your_Company_CSV_20090405.zip The file is available on the secure CMD-hosted FTP location at ftp.reeddatalink.com. To access the file for download, you must have • your user name, password, and file name • a connection to the Internet • FTP software on your computer, and • Microsoft® Internet Explorer (IE) version 7.0 or newer. Your FTP site logon name, password, and the CSV filename are all supplied by your RCD Account Manager. You can access your file for two weeks past the posting date on the secure RCD-hosted FTP location. The file is removed from the site once the two-week period is passed. CMD Group CRM Integration CSV Format Administrator’s Reference 4 Common terms used in this document The following table contains common terms and definitions used in this document. Term Definition Comma A comma separated values (CSV) file is a computer data file used for Separated implementing a Comma Separated List (CSL). A CSV file is used for Value (CSV) the digital storage of data structured in a table of lists form, where each associated item (member) in a group is in association with others also separated by the commas of its set. Each line in the CSV file corresponds to a row in the table. Within a line, fields are separated by commas, each field belonging to one table column. CSV files are often used for moving tabular data between two different computer programs, such as a database program and a spreadsheet program. File Transfer File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a service that supports file transfer Protocol (FTP) between local and remote computers, including the Internet. FTP supports several commands that allow bidirectional transfer of binary and ASCII files between computers. The FTP client is installed with the TCP/IP connectivity utilities. Company.csv Field Value Company.csv CompanyId The ID number assigned to the company by Insight. CompanyName The name of the company. AddressLine1 The mailing address of the company. AddressLine1 and AddressLine2 AddressLine2 can both be used in multiple line addresses: Superintendent’s Office City 123 Main Street StateOrProvince ZipOrPostcode CountyCode CountyOrRegion Phone The company telephone and fax number. Fax RecordDate The date and time the company record was first registered in the system. This is the UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) date. Examples: CSV format = MM/DD/YYYY hr:mmPM CSV example = 05/01/2005 11:02PM MergedCompany The ID’s of the companies merged into the active company, listed in pipe-delimited format. CompanyDataSourceId The country for the company: • US • CAN LastUpdate The date of the last update for the company data, in UTC format. FutureUse3 Not currently used.
