NEW TRAY PLACEMENT ON CREDENCE TABLE AND ALTAR The number of new ciboria (bowls that hold the Body of Christ) we need for mass are too heavy for one tray so we have split them into two trays as well as the chalices. This will make the credence table very full. We will need to utilize the second shelf. So please put items back where you found them so that there will be room for the trays once they are covered. We will now need for another server, this can be a non-captain, to wait with the captain holding the two corporals so that you can cover the trays each with a corporal and move the trays back to the credence table after communion. If you set the first tray down, push it to the corner up against the wall so it will be easier for the second server to place the second tray down. NEW TRAY PLACEMENT ON CREDENCE TABLE AND ALTAR Notice that the trays have to be placed on the altar in the opposite direction as we do now. So one of the handles will be placed toward the book/stand/center of the altar. There is not enough room along the side of the altar to place them end to end as the candlesticks will be in the way. Also remember that the intention paper and new response guide needs to be on the altar and if they are not, check the credence table and the book stand before placing the Roman Missal. This is how the altar should look when you have finished setting it so the captain can pour the wine into the chalices. At this point the captain would be pouring with one flagon as the second one is set on the altar. Remember captains, it is ok to let Matthew (the tall gentleman in a black cassock and white surplice) help you pour. .
