JCU clinched the OAC Regular-Season title with an 8-0-1 record. The Blue Streaks won the OAC Tournament title and will be heading to the NCAA Div. III Tournament for the fourth consecutive year. Forward-of-the-Year: Danny Ruple, Baldwin Wallace Baldwin Wallace senior Danny Ruple (Berea / Berea-Midpark) has been chosen by the league coaches as the 2019 OAC Forward-of-the-Year. Ruple also earned this honor in 2017 and was named OAC Freshman of the Year in 2016. He ended the regular-season with a league leading 41 points and 17 goals. Ruple has earned First Team All- OAC honors. Midfielder-of-the-Year: Will Turrittin, John Carroll John Carroll junior Will Turrittin (Medina, OH / Medina) has been chosen by the league coaches as the 2019 OAC Midfielder-of-the-Year. Turrittin also garnered this honor in 2018. He finished the regular-season with a league leading 10 assists. Turittin also tallied five goals to help the lead the Blue Streaks to the OAC Regular-Season and Tournament titles. Turittin was named OAC Freshman of the Year in 2017 and has earned First Team All-OAC honors. Defender-of-the-Year: Matt Nigro, John Carroll John Carroll senior Matt Nigro (Strongsville, OH Cleveland St. Ignatius) has been selected by the league coaches as the 2019 OAC Defender-of-the-Year. Nigro scored four goals, had one assist and led the Blue Streak defense to eight shutouts this season. He has earned First Team All-OAC honors. Goalkeeper-of-the-Year: Zach Hlas, Mount Union Mount Union senior Zach Hlas (Medina, Ohio / Medina) has been chosen by the league coaches as the 2019 OAC Goalkeeper-of-the-Year. In 17 games Hlas posted a 0.61 goals-against-average, 49 saves and nine shutouts. Hlas has earned First Team All-OAC honors. Freshman-of-the-Year: David Beattie, Marietta Marietta defenseman David Beattie (Russell, Ohio / West Geauga) has been selected by the league coaches as the 2019 OAC Freshman-of-the-Year. Beattie started 18 regular-season games and posted two goals and two assists. The Pioneer advanced to the OAC Tournament semifinals.
