SITUATION UPDATE This week (1st - 7th Feb) Cases 6,210 Deaths 65 Recoveries 4,045 1.1 CURRENT CASE NUMBERS (as of 09:00 hours CAT) • In the past 24 hrs, we recorded 1,424 new confirmed cases, 16 deaths and Global Numbers 740 recoveries. (Source: JHU) 104,886,168 Confirmed • Cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases recorded to date is 60,427 2,284,686 Deaths (2.2% CFR) 58,322,664 Recoveries with 828 deaths (CFR=1.37%) and 52,045 recoveries (86.13% recovered). Laboratory facilities are available in all 10 provinces. See Annex 4 for a list of the currently designated laboratories • In January 2021, the testing strategy was revised from mass testing to a more targeted approach.
