Hear the stories behind the music from the songwriters themselves in an intimate acoustic performance from hit songwriters Casey Beathard (“Like Jesus Does”, “Like A Wrecking Ball”, Eric Church, “No Shoes No Shirt No Problems”, “Don’t Blink”, Kenny Chesney), Barry Dean (“Moving Oleta” Reba McEntire, “Pontoon” Little Big Town) Sarah Buxton (“Stupid Boy” Keith Urban, co-writer on“Prizefighter” Trisha Yearwood/Kelly Clarkson “Sun Daze” Florida Georgia Line and nominated for a Prime Time Emmy Award for her music on the hit TV show “Nashville”). Country music’s hit song writers take the stage to talk about and perform their hit singles before a limited audience. These artists have written or co-written, produced and played alongside some of country music’s biggest stars like Carrie Underwood, George Strait, Kenny Chesney, Reba McEntire, Keith Urban and Eric Church, to name a few! The story-telling will be just as exciting as hearing the music live on the state-of-the- art stage, and a 361-seat theatre. The festivities begin this Saturday night, March 11th at 7pm. Casey Beathard has had recordings by most of the mainstream artists in country music and he has had hits with country greats, Eric Church (“Like Jesus Does”), (“Like A Wrecking Ball”) George Strait (“How ‘Bout Them Cowgirls”, “The Breath You Take”), Kenny Chesney (“No Shoes No Shirt No Problems”, “Don’t Blink”, “Boys Of Fall”), Tracy Lawrence (“Find Out Who Your Friends Are”) Trace Adkins (“Hot Mama”, “Just Fishin”), and others. Casey became BMI’s 2004 & 2008 songwriter of the year and NSAI’s 2008 songwriter of the year. Barry Dean - Reba McEntire recorded his song "Moving Oleta" for her Room to Breathe album and he had a #16 Billboard single with Martina McBride's “God’s Will”. Dean landed his first Billboard #1 song with Little Big Town’s summer smash “Pontoon.” His songs have been recorded by Carrie Underwood, Alison Krauss, Jason Aldean, Julianne Hough, Sheryl Crow, Little Big Town, Billy Currington, Hunter Hayes, LeAnn Rimes, Toby Keith, Kellie Pickler, Charlotte Church, Laura Bell Bundy, Ricky Skaggs, Katharine McPhee to name a few. He co-wrote ConAgra Foods’ Child Hunger Ends Here campaign theme song "Here's Hope" that was recorded by Jay Sean, Jewel, and Owl City to donate over 5 million meals to hungry children in America. Sarah Buxton – This American country music singer co-wrote "Stupid Boy", which went on to be recorded by Keith Urban on his mid-2006 album Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing, taking his version to No. 3 on the country charts in 2007. Urban recorded another one of Buxton's songs, "Put You in a Song", for the 2010 album Get Closer. Buxton also co-wrote "Prizefighter" with Trisha Yearwood and Kelly Clarkson, and "Sun Daze" by Florida Georgia Line. Buxton has co-written several songs that have appeared on the ABC hit TV show Nashville. Songs include "Yellin' from the Rooftop," "Loving You is the Only Way to Fly," "Stronger Than Me," and "Nothing in This World Will Ever Break My Heart Again" for which she and her co-writer Kate York received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics.
