Us Faces Cuba in Concacaf Gold Cup

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Thursday, July 16, 2015 U.S. FACES CUBA IN CONCACAF GOLD CUP QUARTERFINALS, SATURDAY ON FOX Remaining Quarterfinal Matches Air This Weekend As FOX Sports’ Summer of Soccer Continues The CONCACAF Gold Cup quarterfinal matches are officially set and the U.S. Men’s National Team faces Cuba on Saturday, July 18, with coverage beginning at 4:30 PM ET on local FOX stations. M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore hosts the match, the first of a doubleheader that day. In the nightcap, Caribbean heavyweights Haiti and Jamaica also battle for a semifinal spot at 8:00 PM ET on FOX Sports 2. The second quarterfinal doubleheader on Sunday, July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey features Trinidad & Tobago taking on Panama at 4:30 PM ET, followed by Mexico and Costa Rica squaring off at 7:30 PM ET. Both matches air on FOX Sports 1. Lead play-by-play announcer John Strong calls the USA match on Saturday alongside analyst Brad Friedel and sideline reporter Julie Stewart-Binks. Mark Rogondino and Cobi Jones provide commentary for Haiti-Jamaica. Sunday’s assignments feature Steve Cangialosi and Brian Dunseth calling the Trinidad & Tobago-Panama game, while JP Dellacamera, Stuart Holden and Francisco X. Rivera team up for Mexico-Costa Rica. Rob Stone anchors studio coverage alongside analysts Eric Wynalda, Alexi Lalas and Dr. Joe Machnik on Saturday. Sunday’s coverage includes Stone, Wynalda, Jones and Mariano Trujillo. The 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup semifinals at the Georgia Dome are slated for Wednesday, July 22 on FOX Sports 1 and FOX Sports 2 and the final takes place on Sunday, July 26 at 7:30 PM ET at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field on FOX Sports 1.
