October 6, 2008 Albertans invited to learn more about their $17 billion Heritage Fund Edmonton... “The Alberta Heritage Savings Trust Fund is currently worth $17 billion,” said Heather Forsyth, Chair of the Standing Committee on the Alberta Heritage Savings Trust Fund. “This Fund belongs to the citizens of Alberta, and as such, I invite Albertans to attend the Committee’s annual public meeting to find out more about their Fund and how it benefits Albertans now and in the future.” When: Thursday, October 16, 2008, 7 p.m. Where: Calder Seniors Drop-in Centre, 12963-120 Street, Edmonton, AB Those unable to attend the meeting but who have access to the Internet are invited to visit the Heritage Fund website at www.albertaheritagefund.com to receive up-to-date financial information on the Fund. The Alberta Heritage Savings Trust Fund was created in 1976 and continues to be both a valuable asset and a unique Alberta legacy. Since its inception the Fund has contributed approximately $30 billion towards priorities such as health care, education and infrastructure.
