The Philanthropy Leadership Award of CPA is bestowed upon “an individual, family, group or foundation that through their sustained contribution to the arts has inspired increased philanthropic giving and made a significant impact on Australia’s cultural sector.” John and Pauline received the award from the Federal Minister for the Arts, The Hon Paul Fletcher MP, and their citation stated that “John Gandel AC and Pauline Gandel AC’s philanthropic support for the arts has been exemplary.
