As individuals and in community they will have opportunities to explore different kinds of prayer and to be involved in different prayer experiences. They will investigate the Liturgical Cycle of the Seasons of the Church Year, a pattern linked to the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. Students will explore the basic elements of Liturgy and be introduced to the Eucharist as the celebration at the heart of Christian prayer and life. T hey will explore how we honour Mary through prayers, the Hail Mary, Angelus and Rosary in particular, and through the celebration of feasts days within the liturgical calendar.
