The CD features music from Bob Hope"s Hollywood and Broadway career, including Cole Porter"s !You Do Something to Me," !I Can"t Get Started" by Vernon Duke and Ira Gershwin, and Hope"s signature song, !Thanks For The Memory" by Leo Robin and Ralph Grainger. Ms.Daley toured with Hope as the singing star of The Bob Hope Christmas Tour, which included performing for 100,000 troops in Viet Nam and around the world. She conceived her tribute to the beloved, late funny man when she was asked by the Hope family to sing “Thanks For The Memory” (with special lyrics) at Hope"s funeral service. !Where There"s Hope" also includes several original songs by Ms. Daley. “Her voice matches her looks—in every sense, a knockout.”… Billboard “Beauty, sex appeal and top talent…a good bet for top lining all mediums.” … Variety Jan Daley is a prolific singer/actress/songwriter and a Los Angeles native who began her career in regional theater. She broke into television early, on iconic vehicles like The Tonight Show and The Merv Griffin Show, and starred in many musical specials for television and the series “Here Come The Stars.” Her first gig in Las Vegas was with Louis Armstrong, and she has been the opening act for many luminaries including Don Rickles, David Brenner and the late Rodney Dangerfield. She has appeared in series television, films and in over 150 television commercials. As a songwriter, Jan has written all the music for a Jimmy Webb house music project; her songs appear on Kathy Smith"s Walking Workout CDs. She recently completed a six month run starring in !The Follies" in Branson, followed by !And Then She Wrote" with Peter Marshall and Mimi Hines and the Broadway bound !Showgirl on 52nd Street." Ms. Daley has recorded five albums, the latest being !Where There"s Hope." In 2001, producer Les Brown Jr. became the full-time leader of the Band of Renown, which Les Brown Sr. founded in 1938. Les Brown Jr."s Band of Renown performs throughout the world and has a regular big band show in Branson, Mo. Les, who also hosts a national radio show on the Music Of Your Life network, was a television actor in the 1960s (Gunsmoke, General Hospital, Gilligan's Island), and a rock musician before becoming a producer and band leader.
