In 2006, he led the Hilltoppers through their best season in seven years. He helped the team win four Ivy League Championships (1997, 1998, 2000 and 2001) and make four NCAA Division I tournament facility (capacity): f appearances (1997, 1998, 1999 and 2000). The 1999 squad advanced to the Sweet 16, while the 2000 squad St. Edward’s University Soccer Field (500) acts made the Elite Eight. Young coordinated national and international recruitment of high school student- nickname: Hilltoppers athletes. He assisted in coaching five All-Americans and 11 players who have been drafted in the annual colors: Navy Blue and Metallic Gold Major League Soccer Superdraft or have signed MLS contracts (FC Dallas, LA Galaxy, Kansas City Wizards, President: George E. Martin, PhD Columbus Crew and New England Revolution). While he was at Brown, the Bears posted an overall record of 61-35-10 (.576) and an Ivy League record of 28-8-5 (.683). Prior to Brown, Young spent one year as an assistant coach at Bates College, where he helped the team to athlEticS adMiniStration the East College Athletic Conference tournament and BBC title. He was co-founder, technical director and athletics director: Debbie Taylor head coach of Bruno United Futbol Club from 2002 to 2003. Young was involved with the Lake Travis Soccer Club in Austin. He was the head coach and director of player development for the club, where he led his associate athletic director/compliance: team (U14) to the 2003 state finals. He helped his 1994 team to the first NCAA Division I tournament appearance in UNH history. He earned All-North Atlantic Conference assistant athletic director/Student Services: Tournament honors in 1993 and 1994. After graduating from UNH, Young played professionally with the Jennifer White Cape Cod Crusaders Soccer Club in the United States Interregional Soccer League from 1995 to 1997. During this time, the team achieved an NSCAA top 25 ranking in the head coach: Brian Young 2006 and 2008 seasons, climbing as high as #12 in the 2008 poll. The Hilltoppers record at School (years): 41-44-9 (5) also achieved the NSCAA all-academic team in 2006, 2007 and 2008 maintaining career record (years): 41-44-9 (5) at least a 3.0 GPA. He began his coaching career at Dan River High School in Danville, Va., as the women’s head coach in SportS inforMation officE 2001. After six months at Dan River, he spent two months as the director of the Summer Soccer Academy at Sports information director: Logan Lawrence Hargrave Military Academy.
