Post a rigorous review of input costs, it is necessary for The Smith’s Snackfood Company Pty Limited (Smith’s) to take a price increase on a range of its products. Our business is confronting difficult commodity and operating inflationary conditions which impact the cost of manufacturing and supplying products in Australia. Smith’s has not taken a price increase since 2016, and it is no longer sustainable for Smith’s to continue to absorb the increased costs. From Monday 7th October 2019, Smith’s will be increasing the list price on a portion of its portfolio. The pack groups affected by this change are set out in Appendix 1 of this letter.
