THE MONTHLY SPECIAL Nothing can compare to Philadelphia in May. There’s beautiful weather, all types of carnivals, races and street fairs to enjoy! We’re officially in our “high season” for events, with over 300 street festivals, parades and runs executed and permitted through our office to date. As more and more applications come through our office for processing, our staff continues to work around the clock to make sure your event needs are met and everything goes off without a hitch. The best part is getting out to the events to see all the hard work finally paid off. If you happen to spot us on site, be sure to say hello! We’re just as excited as you are for event day to be here! LAST MONTH IN REVIEW There must be some magical powers in the Philadelphia water, because Philly teams are undefeatable in 2018. What a way to kick off the month with another victory celebration, honoring our 2018 NCAA Men’s Basketball Champs, the Villanova Wildcats! The celebrations continued throughout the month, and on April 21st Photo By: N. Faragalli some of our favorite current Philadelphia Eagles players helped Parks and Recreation, Councilman Kenyatta Johnson, Mayor Jim Kinney and former Philadelphia Eagle, Connor Barwin, the founder of the Make The World Better Foundation cut the ribbon to the newly renovated Smith Playground at 24th and Snyder Avenue. We finished out the month at the Franklin Institute’s Science Festival, where families got to participate in live experiments and take a walk through the Brain, pictured to the left. Photo By: Bill Z. Foster As always, April has been nothing short of exciting for our office. We’ve witnessed street dedications, like Philly’s own Smokin’ Joe Frazier Boulevard at Broad and Glenwood Street. We raced through local neighborhoods at the annual Sky Partners Point Breeze 5K. Spring officially bloomed at Shofuso Japanese House and Garden’s Cherry Blossom Festival. We ate for a good cause at the 6th Annual Food Truck Pop-Up in support of Action Wellness.
