News Release Metra Media Relations 312-322-6776 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Metra adds trains and will offer discounted Lyft rides for Pride Parade CHICAGO (June 26, 2019) – Metra will add trains on three lines, Sunday, June 30, to accommodate those attending the 50th Annual Chicago Pride Parade. The parade kicks off at noon at Montrose Avenue and Broadway in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood and ends near the intersection of Diversey Parkway and Sheridan Road in Lincoln Park. In honor of Pride, Metra and Lyft have partnered to provide discounted Lyft rides to parade-goers. Riders can use the code “LyftMetra19” to receive $5 off Lyft rides between stations on all Metra lines that operate on Sundays and the parade. The discount is valid for up to two Lyft rides on June 30 for a total savings of $10 per rider. The parade route is also easily accessible through CTA connections from all five downtown Chicago train stations: Chicago Union Station, Ogilvie Transportation Center, Millennium Station, Van Buren Street Station and LaSalle Street Station. Offering unlimited rides on Saturday and Sunday, the pass can be purchased on the train with cash or via the Ventra App, which you can download at the App Store or Google Play.
