Orders will be done online based on what we have ready at the farm. This way we only harvest what is needed negating a waste of food. During the summer months (June to ?ctc?t?el? wePlanto mn a weeklymarket stand. Oneevening a weekpeople will be able to come to pick up orders or buy from the stand. We will stress to locals to make orders ahead oftime with incentives on price or selection. This helps us to be prepared and not waste food. During the winter months we will deliver in conjunction with our compost program. As the farm expandswe will havea surplus of alder. Wewill makefirewood sales to the village. we_wc>uld!'ke.. to. make. u-p.ickavailabte too- Thisis an activity where people can connect with theirfood and visit our farm. This works great with crops such as beans, peas and berries which cost time to harvest. Wehave the option to support the Farmto School program. Wefeel this is a positive program and would be willing to devote bed space in order to donate. Our Relationship to Other Businesses We have already been working with both the Westview Marina and Sally's Restaurantto recovertheir green waste. It was picked up dailyin the summer. Wehave interest in collecting fish wastefrom both the WestviewMarina and TahsisFish Processing. Wewould be using bokashicomposting, which'isa" fermented compost, to deal with the fish waste. Wewould like to work with the village to collect their green waste. This includes grass clippings, branches, leaves, ect. When dealt with properly these can become a rich source for us. We would also want to run'a leaf collection" program in the fall. A date would be posted for people to leave their leaves at the curb which we could collect. Local Tourism development Weare both passionate builders. Wewould liketo be ableto build small rental cabins for tourists. Having access to timber and having a sawmill wouFd make this dream attainable. Wewould foster relationships with other local businesses and individuals in fo^rcto, c,ateor-to*tounste., Thereis Fridayn!g. htatthe Marina: gettin'g"ab'urger from Sally's Restaurant, driving up to the Tahsis lookout"andtasti'naaal brewed beel'. from TheTahsis Farm to name a few.
