Jon made his First Class debut with Tasmania in December 2008 and was awarded a full state contract with them the following year. It was in T20 cricket that Jon made a real impact after being picked for Hobart Hurricanes in the inaugural BBL competition where he remained until the end of BBL6. In 2015 Jon packed his bags and moved to WA chasing more opportunities at First Class level. Jon moved to the Adelaide Strikers ahead of BBL7 which was a moved that instantly payed off by being a member of the title winning side, in BBL 8&9 he continued to improve even further being named in the team of the tournament for both. In BBL 9 Jon finished the tournament with the best average and was awarded the Adelaide Strikers MVP. Jon is a small business owner is WA and Tasmania, he owns franchises of Icon Sports. Jon loves his golf and enjoys travelling around his cricket commitments.
