Detlef Gottschling [email protected] +49-331 2786-152 Datum 20th April 2012 Nr. 58a/2012 Industry meets Technology: The German Capital Region Berlin- Brandenburg at Hanover Fair 2012 Participation of 191 exhibitors from Berlin-Brandenburg and six stands Potsdam/Hannover, April 20th 2012 - At the world-leading industrial Fair in Hanover from 23rd to 27th of April 2012 some 191 exhibitors (2011: 182) from the German Capital Region Berlin-Brandenburg will present their products and services. 52 exhibitors are coming from Brandenburg (2011: 54). The main areas of participation are: Research & Technology (hall 2, stand C31), Industrial Supply (hall 5, stand B16), Industrial Automation (hall 9, stand A32, A36, A39) Energy (hall 13, stand C40), ElectroMobility (hall 25, stand F24) and Industrial CleanTech (hall 26, stand D08). Some 37 companies take part on the stands “Industrial Supply Berlin-Brandenburg” and “energizing: Berlin-Brandenburg” organized by the Potsdam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI). “The profit of a company comes from procurement” – based on this principle there is much impetus to strong suppliers sector which becomes more and more innovative, efficient and international. This is also true for the “Industrial supplies Berlin-Brandenburg” at Hanover Fair with companies being present with their partners from Poland, Turkey and for the first time also from China which corresponds with this years partnering country. “Industrial Suppliers Market Berlin-Brandenburg”: About 22 companies present their industrial product supplies on a new and much more bigger stand (B16) in hall 5, among them “first time exhibitors as BESTSIM GmbH (Perleberg), Escotec Lasertechnik GmbH (Teltow), Fügetechnik Berlin-Brandenburg GmbH (Eberswalde), Nordbahn gGmbH (Schönfließ), SADEX (Berlin-Rybnik/Polen) as well as Welz Gas Cylinder GmbH (Rathenow). That makes the international company landscape in the German Capital Region Berlin- Brandenburg highly visible (China: Welz Gas Cylinder; Poland: Winiarski Poland Germany Consult / SADEX; Turkey: Net-Components). The company Net-Components has traditionally excellent business relations to Turkey and is about to establish an additional production facility in Turkey. Product highlights are a new training simulator for lift trucks / logistics (BESTSIM), highly sophisticated audio technical equipment (BAS Burmeister Audio Systeme/CNC-Präzisionsteile Ojinski), micro welding of 0.2 mm parts size for medical devices (Escotec), high performance ceramics and innovative joining technology (Fügetechnik Berlin- Industrie- und Handelskammer (IHK) Potsdam Breite Straße 2 a - c 14467 Potsdam Internet: http://www.potsdam.ihk24.de/ Brandenburg), ultra hardened parts for the aerospace industry (HWL), mining technology (SADEX), pressure gas cylinders for industrial, fire-fighting and medical gases (Welz). “energizing - Berlin-Brandenburg”: Some 15 companies are representing the highly innovative energy sector in the German Capital Region. The products and services range from transformator stations and switchgears via PV systems, power ports with solar roofings, vacuum tubes for solarthermal applications, highly efficient interference suppression filters to biogas and wind energy plants. The University College for Sustainable Development Eberswalde is presenting its key project “Renewable energy from agricultural and forest biomass” within the framework of its profile with some 17 courses. The Technical University College Wildau is joining the presentation for the first time introducing their branch “Renewable energy technology” with the project “process chain for the production of regenerating raw materials from bio algae”. The town Eberswalde being also for the first time at Hanover Fair is presenting Eberswalde as an economic and education centre with an innovative industrial and scientific potential in the north-east of the German Capital Region. A very important aim of the Berlin-Brandenburg presentation is to acquire and safe skilled human resources. So the technical professional junior staff gets its chance at Hanover fair, too: From the region between the metropolitan cities of Hamburg and Berlin called Prignitz some 50 pupils being interested in technical professions will visit Hanover Fair within the framework of the TectoYou initiative organized by the Economic Development Agency of the Prignitz. They will be informed by Brandenburg companies on professional and carrier opportunities and they will visit Industrial Suppliers Market at 11:00 a.m. and Energy at 1:30 p.m. With China being the partnering country of Hanover Fair 2012 the Fair management has chosen an interesting and very strong partner country from the Berlin-Brandenburg point of view. China is on of the most important target markets for exports from Brandenburg (232.4 million €/ +19.3 per cent). More than 410 companies from Brandenburg already have business activities in China. Berlin-Brandenburg expects delegations from Brazil, China, Estonia, Italy, Poland, Russia, U.S.A. and U.A.E. to visit “Industrial Supplies Berlin-Brandenburg” in hall 5.
