Locality: Farakka Super Thermal Power Project Farakka-742236, P.O : Nabarun, Murshidabad, Boiler Registration No: WBL11190, Boiler Type: Water Tube, Date of Inspection: 13-05-2021 Sub : Recommendation for extension of steaming certificate of boiler as per Reg.376 (ff) of IBR, 1950 for a period of 12 months w.e.f. 26.05.2021 Ref : Form XIX submitted by the owners on dt. 17.04.2021 With reference to above this is to report that the owners in their letter under reference, have applied for extension of steaming certificate of the boiler for a period of 12 months w.e.f. 26.05.2021 and submitted required data as per Appendix-'JA' along with Form-XIX. The relevent documents have been checked and found as follows : 1. The steaming certificate of the boiler was issued on 26.05.20 after thorough overhauling for a period of 12 months (i.e. 26.05.20 to 25.05.21) 2. The information given in Appendix-JA and in Form-XIX have been checked and found to be in order. 3. There is no report of major failure of boiler pressure parts since last inspection. 4. The W.P. of the boiler is more than 100 Kg/cm2 and the age of the boiler is more than 20 years. Previous RLA was carried out during the year 2018, with a conclusion that the boiler may be operated for another 6 years. 5. The owners have already submitted requisite fees for inspection along with duly filled in Form B-I. So, considering the owners' appeal, the steaming certificate of the boiler may be extended for a period of twelve months w.e.f. 26.05.2021 as per Reg.376 (ff) of IBR, 1950.
