Note: The Foundation also sponsored its first ever seminar for elders at Princeton Theological Seminary, Princeton, New Jersey, on October 11–14, 2010. Dr. William P. Wood and Dr. James C. Goodloe IV provided leadership. Elders from First Presbyterian Church, Charlotte, North Carolina, and director Ms. Caroline H. Leith, elder from Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church of Richmond, Virginia, participated. The readings were from John Calvin and John H. Leith on providence and prayer. Dr. Bruce McCormack, professor of theology at Princeton, gave a lecture on providence. Dr. Iain Torrance, president of the seminary, spoke to the seminar over lunch. It is hoped that the seminar gave these elders knowledge that will help them in their leadership of the church, that it was an opportunity for them to experience the study of theology in a way similar to our ministerial study seminars, and that this will be a model for additional seminars for other elders.
