The headlines of the "little guide": Surroundings: where you will find the parking places around Lake Annecy and further away Our advice: tips or ideas ... The very first tip is to arrive in the morning, the day before for a major event, or book your stay early in one of the many campsites : www.lac-annecy.com/campings-annecy-93.htm Getting around: leave your motorhome in its location and take: the bike path : 40 km ride around the lake. West bank (Sevrier/Saint-Jorioz/Duingt/Doussard : a lot of campsites, parkings with direct access to the bike path East bank (Veyrier-du-Lac/Menthon-Saint-Bernard/Talloires) : hillier, there’s a section between Veyrier-du-Lac and Menthon where you can take a small road, shared with cars but it remains very pleasant. Different distances (by bike) : Annecy/Sevrier : 4 km – Annecy/Saint-Jorioz : 8 km – Annecy/Duingt : 12 km – Annecy/Bout du Lac : 20 km – Annecy/Veyrier-du-Lac : 6 km – Annecy/Menthon-Saint-Bernard : 9 km – Annecy/Talloires : 12 km -Bus lines : http://www.mobicime.hautesavoie.fr/en/ : Line 51-52 Annecy/Albertville, by the western shore Line 62 Annecy /Talloires, by the eastern shore (no buses on Sunday) Line 162 Annecy/Thorens-Glières (few schedules) - Sibra: https://www.sibra.fr/en : schedules and bus routes of the Annecy agglomeration (plus its summer line connecting Le Semnoz) -“Omnibus” Boat Tour: http://www.annecy-croisieres.com/en.html running end of April – end of September -Lake shuttles: during the summer period, lake shuttles (Veyrier-du-Lac / Annecy) are available to the public (information in the Lake Annecy Tourist Offices) Service areas Annecy: avenue des Marquisats – 10 concrete pitches – discharge - free services (no services during winter) – 24-hour stay Surroundings: close to the free beach Marquisats Our advice: few places, you have to be lucky! Opt for a parking space in the Place de la Visitation. Getting around: for the center and the old town by foot: 10 min. – by bike: 2-3 min. – by bus: the “Colmyr” stop: line 6 (a few minutes) Lathuile: 190 route de la Porte – Tel: 00 33 (6)87 65 39 64 (open April-September) – discharge – water – electricity – parking + services: 10 € – one night stay possible Surroundings: close to the lake (Bout du lac) Mis à jour le 21/04/2019 1 The little guide for recreational vehicle Our advice: discover the nature reserve “Bout du Lac”: 1.30 hours walk with a nice view on the lake Getting around: by bus: the “Bout du Lac” stop: line 51 Albertville/Annecy (50 min.) - “Omnibus” Boat Tour, “Doussard” jetty, direction Annecy (50 min.) – the cycle path on the west bank (19 km) Faverges: route d’Annecy (close to Carrefour Market) – Tel: 00 33 (4) 50 44 60 24 – 25 pitches: discharge, water, chemical toilet: 8 € - one night stay possible Surroundings: close to the centre of Faverges and its shops Getting around: by bus: the “Pont d’Englannaz”stop: line 51: Albertville/Annecy (1 hour) – bike path to Annecy: 25 km Services, waste tank emptying Duingt: In front of the campsite “Les Champs Fleuris” – water – waste tank emptying (fee) – parking 2 hours – closed during winter Surroundings: close to the free beach of Duingt and the pretty medieval village Our advice: cross the departmental road to reach one of the most beautiful walks by the lake: the “Roselières” path (45 minutes from the harbor of St-Jorioz) Getting around: by the bike path access to the village in a few minutes - Annecy: 11 km Paying parking Sevrier: Parking du Port (across from Mc Donald’s) – free mid-September to mid-May – 15 € no services (water tap nearby) – 14 hours maximum Surroundings: situated in the Sevrier harbor Our advice: near to all different kind of water sports, tennis courts, 2 beaches Getting around: the bike path is in front of the parking: 5 km to Annecy - “Omnibus” Boat Tour, “Sevrier” jetty, direction Annecy (20 min.) - by bus: the “Riant Port”stop: line 51-52: Albertville/Annecy (around 20 min) Free parking: some restrictions may apply Annecy: Parking de la Basilique de la Visitation: avenue de la Visitation – few parking spaces Surroundings: located on the height of Annecy – lake view – one night stay possible Our advice: visit the Basilique Getting around: there is a route to go down to old town: chemin de la Tour de la Reine, place du Château then rampe du Château (parking and route not recommended for people having difficulty walking) Saint-Jorioz: parking behind the church – 1 night stay possible Surroundings: in the centre of the small town, close to shops, atm machines… Our advice: Come and met us at our Tourist Information Centre next to the town hall for all information you may require. Mis à jour le 21/04/2019 2 The little guide for recreational vehicle Getting around: 10 min. by bike to reach the lake, the Saint-Jorioz beach and jetty Talloires: parking Clos du Moine – not possible to stay over the night Surroundings: in the center of the village – close to the lake and the prestigious Talloires bay Our advice: Come and met us at our Tourist Information Centre rue André Theuriet for all information you may require. Getting around: “Omnibus” Boat Tour, “Talloires” jetty, direction Annecy- by bus: the “Ecole”stop: line 61 direction Annecy- by the bike path Veyrier du Lac: parking la Mairie (town hall) - respecting the parking spaces in the blue zone, maximum 1.30 hours and the school parking during bank holidays - not possible to stay over the night Our advice: Come and met us at our Tourist Information Centre next to the post office for all information you may require. Getting around: Water taxi, in summer, leaving from a pontoon on the pedestrian promenade direction Annecy- by bus: line 61 direction Annecy or Talloires Crêt du Châtillon: on the Semnoz plateau (45 min. drive from Annecy or St-Jorioz) – 1 night stay possible Surroundings: view overlooking the mountains – restaurant (no shops) Our advice: for independent campers (provide food supplies before going there) Getting around: once you are at the top turn off your engine and breathe, walks or mountain biking to discover the Semnoz plateau Villaz: cemetery parking (graveyard), 10 parking places – 1 night stay possible Surroundings: close to the center of the village with its shops, potable water, waste tank emptying (public toilets under the town hall), shady parking places. Our advice: beautiful view of the Parmelan mountain, calm, hikes Getting around: bus line 162 direction Annecy Le Plateau des Glières: on the plateau (1-hour drive from Annecy) – 1 night stay possible Surroundings: at the heart of a plateau where nature is still preserved, numerous restaurants. Our advice: for independent campers (provide food supplies before going there) – Please do not park in the fields. Getting around: discover the plateau by foot and the history of the Résistance movement, it is at the same time a place of memory and an exceptional natural area.
