2019 Arafura Games Para-Swimming Venue Parap Swimming Pool, 77 Ross Smith Avenue, Parap There are large change rooms and amenities at the pool. Athletes will have full access to these facilities for training before and during the Games. There is no international classification available for swimming athletes at the Arafura Games, however National Classification will be provided for athletes with a physical impairment. Additional information will be made available as these details are confirmed. Competition Format Results for MC events will be determined by highest points using the open Multi Class Point Score (MCPS) calculator. MC events will be seeded according to entry times and not classification. Swimming Records Only athletes holding a current IPC License will be eligible to have their results considered for World and Regional rankings and records or be able to be internationally classified within 3 months of the competition. Entry Entry to events closes on 15 March 2019. This deadline will be strictly adhered to. A free accredited shuttle bus service will be offered with dedicated stops to competition venues outside the CBD from 25 April – 4 May. Accredited persons will be able to access the Darwin Public Bus network for free by visibly wearing their accreditation from the 21 April. Visas – I am an international athlete what type of visa will I need? Please refer to the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs website to determine the most appropriate visa and eligibility criteria https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/ Getting an appropriate visa is the responsibility of the individual. Games Organisers will provide a support letter to include during the visa application process Flights – Will the Organising Committee assist me to book my flights? All flights will be at the expense and organisation of the participating nation There will be support provided at the Airport to welcome you and assist with information Sport Entries – How do I register to compete/participate and will it cost me anything?
