IRIT • Image Analysis and Synthesis • Indexing and Information Search … valued • Interaction, Autonomy, Dialogue and Cooperation by industry • Reasoning and Decision • Modelling, Algorithms and High-Performance All 5 Departments work closely with industry Computing professionals to ensure tuition is always • Architecture, Systems and Networks relevant to current practice or indeed ahead 5 TRAINING • Safety of Software Development of the game ! DEPARTMENTS Each Department has its own research laboratory, • Automation and www.irit.fr providing real-world, hands-on scientific data, day electrical engineering to day, on the institute premises. An approach that is • Electronics and signal processing invaluable as we strive for excellence. • Computer sciences and IMFT applied mathematics • Particles, Spray and Combustion • Hydraulics and fluid mechanics • Transitional and Turbulent Single-Phase Flows • Telecommunications • Porous Media Group and networks • Surface Hydrology and Ecohydraulics N7 (INP ENSEEIHT) – EUR-ACE label : • Two-Phase Flows the European quality label for Engineering Degree programs at Bachelor and Masters level. • Waves, Turbulence and Environment www.imft.fr Testimonial In 2004 the BRAFITEC program was set up at the Department of Electrical Engineering at D program UFSC (“Universidade Federal 4 Laboratories Ph de Santa Catarina” / Brazil) in collaboration with ENSEEIHT. I centres of excellence was student there and I was attracted by this exchange Research fellowships for outstanding program. I found out that ENSEEIHT had a well-known scientists, leaders in their fields course in power electronics and electric motors used for aeronautics. I am very interested in this subject, so I was motivated to join this school. In my first year there, I was able to get to know other cultures and it was a melting pot Industry / Research partnerships – to discuss different areas of science: there are no borders a founding principle at N7 (INP-ENSEEIHT) for an ENSEEIHT Engineer! LAPLACE Personally the BRAFITEC program helped me open my Our laboratories work closely with industry both in France and abroad. Some mind and meet people from all over the world and develop • Electrical Arc and Thermal Plasma Processes great relationships. Professionally the BRAFITEC program of our key partners include : Airbus, EdF, Total, Renault, PSA, Snecma, Suez, allowed me to shape my career and I see the opportunity • Electrical System Control and Diagnostics Alston, Microsoft, Vinci, Areva, Thales, Sanofi, Rockwell, Siemens, Michelin, to contribute to scientific and technological development • Static Converters Goodrich Aerospace, EADS, Liebherr and Siemens. in a context that combines my interest in research in the industry (ie applied research). • Solid Dielectrics and Reliability As a result I was very motivated to continue my studies and do a PhD (I’m in the last year now) at the LAPLACE • Research Group in Energy, Electricity & Systemics Research / Tuition - Keeping laboratory and of course I am very happy to live in the beautiful and cosmopolitan city of Toulouse, called the “Ville • Research Group in Electromagnetism the knowledge flowing Rose” - “O mon pays, ô Toulouse, ô Toulouse !” • Research Group in Electrodynamics The close links between industry and N7 (INP-ENSEEIHT) laboratories mean I recommend the BRAFITEC program C. the students have direct insight into technical and industrial issues in the • Research Group in Energetics, Plasma and André DE ANDRADE Non-Equilibrium Phenomena real world. This hands-on approach means students are thoroughly prepared (Member of BRAFITEC program in 2005) • Light and Matter both for academia and industry. • Dielectric Materials in the Energy Conversion • Materials and Plasma Processes • Non-Equilibrium Reactive Plasma www.laplace.fr LAAS • Micro and Nanosystems • Modeling, Optimization and Control of Systems • Critical Computer Systems • Robotics and Artificial Intelligence www.laas.fr (INP-ENSEEIHT] : Mexitec (Mexico) : 7 Mexican students / year attend ENSEEIHT Arfitec (with Argentina) : opening in 2011 CREPUQ* (with Quebec) : an exchange of 20 students internationalN7 (INP-ENSEEIHT) offersprograms a broad with the Universities of Quebec. range of training programs to N7 (INP-ENSEEIHT) organises accommodation for foreign students. foreign students. *Quebeckers do not have to pay for their social security There are 2 main orientations : exchange programs and free-standing diplomas. The exchange program minimum Bilateral agreements : stay is 1 semester, and entrance requirements are M1 or Exchanges for 1 or 2 semesters M2. The diploma minimum stay is 2 semesters. N7 (INP-ENSEEIHT) uses the European Credit Transfer Universities in Algeria, Australia, Cambodia, China, Morocco, and Accumulation System ECTS. Tunisia, USA... Key institutions include : Georgia Tech, Imperial College London… Erasmus Educational Solidarity Abroad N7 (INP-ENSEEIHT) has signed bi-lateral agreements with N7 (INP-ENSEEIHT) has also been instrumental in the creation various European Universities for 1 or 2 semester stays, of Masters programs in North Africa, South America and Asia. either as internships or straight studies. Every year, we receive on average 38 Erasmus students while 60 French ENSEEIHT students go abroad within the “N+I” Institute of Engineering : program. 1 semester = 30 credit units. Training Engineers for a globalized Erasmus students receive between 100€ and 150€ / world month as a grant from their home state. The Double Diploma Exchange / Diploma In partnership with Universities in Australia - China - Inter-continental exchange In partnership with key industrial players, N7 (INP-ENSEEIHT) Germany - Lebanon - Morocco - Spain - USA … and diploma programs also welcomes students from Universities worldwide with which N7 (INP-ENSEEIHT) offers the prestigious Double Diploma we have no specific ongoing agreement. Individual applications option. Foreign students obtain 2 full Engineering degrees : Agreements signed with Universities in Brazil, Mexico, are welcome for this highly prestigious highly selective program. one from their original institution and the second from N7 Argentina and Quebec allow us to both send and receive
