DEAR PATRONS © Carter Rose Welcome to the Winspear Opera House on the AT&T Performing Arts Center campus, where we’re celebrating ten years of “Staging the Amazing.” Once is the first Broadway show of our 2019/2020 season. This show won eight Tony Awards and features actors who play live instruments on stage. It’s an original Broadway experience that you won’t forget—and the same can be said about all of the shows in our season. Next up is Once On This Island, followed by The Color Purple, then Blue Man Group, The Band’s Visit, An American in Paris, Bandstand, and The SpongeBob Musical! All of this will happen right here in the beautiful Winspear Opera House. And the AT&T Performing Arts Center is more than Broadway. We present speakers like Spike Lee who will be here next month; the finest dance companies in the world, like MOMIX, with our partner TITAS/Dance Unbound; and family shows like PJ Masks Live! in January. We provide stages for our five esteemed resident companies: Anita N. Martinez Ballet Folklorico, Dallas Black Dance Theatre, The Dallas Opera, Dallas Theater Center and Texas Ballet Theater. And through our Elevator Project we present the best of new and emerging Dallas arts groups. If you’ve joined us since we opened in 2009, you probably know that the AT&T Performing Arts Center is more than great shows. For many students in this community, our education programs can be the beginning of a lifetime love of culture, or even a career in the arts. Our many community engagement initiatives are introducing more people to the arts. By being a member, donor, or a patron at the Center, you’re helping us share experiences like these.
