First prize does not include a Bulldog 1 Open Special Prize of whatever value. Boston Terrier 2 Open If an exhibitor reports before the judging of a class or classes that a dog has been entered which Dalmatian 3 Open is ineligible, the exhibitor may choose one of the following options:- Chow Chow 4 Open (1) Withdrawal The dog may be withdrawn from competition subject to the conditions of Regs 9(j) and 20. French Bulldog 5 Open (2) Transfer Tibetan Spaniel 6 Graduate 7 Open a. If a dog is ineligible for a class or classes as regards its breed, colour, sex, weight or height the Show Secretary shall transfer it to the equivalent class or classes for the correct Miniature Schnauzer 8 Open breed, colour, sex, weight or height or, in the event of there being no equivalent class, Minor AVNSC Utility 9 Graduate 10 Open Puppy and Puppy excepted, to the Open class for the correct breed, colour, sex, weight or height. UTILITY GROUP JUDGE: MARK BRAGG (LOOPANG) b. For an exhibit entered incorrectly in a Minor Puppy class, Puppy class or Junior Class, which is over age but under twelve calendar months of age, eighteen calendar months of Judge: Viv Wayling (Waybully) age or twenty-four calendar months of age respectively, the Show Secretary shall transfer the exhibit to the Puppy Class, Junior Class or Yearling Class respectively for the correct Bull Terrier 11 Open breed, colour, sex, weight or height and in the event of there being no Puppy, Junior or Yearling Class to the Open class for the correct breed, colour, sex, weight or height. Manchester Terrier 12 Open c. For any reason other than the above, the Show Secretary shall transfer it to the Open Scottish Terrier 13 Open class for the correct breed, colour, sex, weight or height. d. If an exhibit arrives late and misses a class, even if it is the only class in which the dog is Border Terrier 14 Open entered, the dog may not be transferred to any other class. West Highland White Terrier 15 Open Puppy For dogs of six and not exceeding twelve calendar months of age on the first day of Staffordshire Bull Terrier 16 Open the Show AVNSC Terrier 17 Graduate 18 Open Junior For dogs of six and not exceeding eighteen calendar months of age on the first day TERRIER GROUP JUDGE: VIV WAYLING (WAYBULLY) of the Show Graduate For dogs which have not won a Challenge Certificate or four or more First Prizes at Judge: Viv Wayling (Waybully) Championship Shows in Graduate, Post Graduate, Minor Limit, Mid Limit, Limit and Open classes, whether restricted or not where Challenge Certificates were offered for AV Veteran 7-9 Years 19 the breed. AV Veteran 10 Years Plus 20 Open For all dogs of the breeds for which the class is provided and eligible for entry at the Show Veteran For dogs of not less than seven years of age on the first day of the Show AV Import Register For breeds confined to the Imported Breeds Register and only when an Important Note for Exhibitors of Puppies Interim Breed Standard has been published by the Kennel Club. Use of Electrical Equipment at Shows RING TWO: Toys Breeds The Kennel Club is becoming increasingly concerned at the amount of electrical equipment being used by exhibitors at shows, including hair dryers and hair straighteners and other grooming devices. Judge: Lady Sally McKenzie (Supersound) Electrical equipment should not be brought to shows unless absolutely necessary. In rare instances Miniature Pinscher 21 Open where it might be required, it should be PAT tested and permission sought from the secretary of the show before it is used. Papillon 22 Graduate 23 Open Chihuahua (Smooth Coat) 24 Open The Kennel Club has also been informed of recent instances of exhibitors commandeering certain areas of a venue in order to have access to power points so as to use electrical grooming equipment. Pug 29 Graduate 30 Open Security at Shows AVNSC Toy 31 Graduate 32 Open In light of recent events the Kennel Club would like to issue a reminder to all Societies of the TOY GROUP JUDGE: LADY SALLY McKENZIE (SUPERSOUND) importance of security at dog shows. The Kennel Club understands that due to the nature of dog shows and the quantity of paraphernalia exhibitors bring it would be extremely difficult for show organisers to take on the issue of security alone, RING THREE: Working & Pastoral Breeds therefore we would reiterate the advice being given by the Police and security services, that everyone in the UK should remain vigilant and this applies to those organising and taking part in dog shows. We would therefore remind you of the importance of the need for show organisers and exhibitors to remain mindful of potential dangers and that all visitors generally need to be vigilant and Great Dane 34 Open alert. Puppies of breeds not WORKING GROUP JUDGE: YOLANDA TONKIN (ROSANYOS) scheduled at this show can enter any of the AVNSC classes in their Group and, if unbeaten by another puppy, can compete for AVNSC Puppy in their Group.
