District Plan Update

District Plan Consultation Responses (Interim Report no. 2: Respondents entered to the Portal as of 17 July 2014) Background This report provides an update on respondents and comments entered to the consultation Portal as of 17 July 2014. It updates the initial report provided to the District Planning Executive Panel, which was based on data from 23 June 2014. Once all the responses have been entered to the Portal, and quality control checks have been completed, a final report on the consultation responses will be posted to the Council’s website at www.eastherts.gov.uk/districtplan Process There are 6 steps in the approach to addressing the consultation feedback: 1. Collate and input to the appropriate consultation point on the Portal, to enable ease of retrieval and systematic consideration of the planning issues 2. Identify the planning issues from the feedback received 3. Draft response to each planning issue raised 4. Undertake additional technical work and investigations as necessary 5. Amend Plan in response to the above 6. Material Amendments Consultation (anticipated towards the end of 2014) This work will take place alongside other technical work already identified as part of the District Plan work programme. 1 District Plan Consultation Responses (Interim Report no. 2: Respondents entered to the Portal as of 17 July 2014) Summary There were two sources of consultation responses: standard responses and direct responses to the Council’s consultation. The full list of named respondents has been collated and may be found on the Portal under the ‘Supporting Documents’ tab. See http://consult.eastherts.gov.uk B) Direct responses to the Council’s consultation As of 17 July 2014, 1,017 individual responses had been received and entered to the consultation Portal.
