omi cheerleader yung crude remix mp3 download 320kbps free Is A German Remix Of A 2012 Reggae Song About To Be The Global Song Of The Summer? OMI’s “Cheerleader” was always a jam, but now it’s found new life and breaking streaming records. When OMI released his debut single, "Cheerleader," in 2012, it was a great reggae song and a success in his native Jamaica—it even won him a spot guest-judging the Jamaica Fitness Association's Cheerleading Championship. It seemed like that was that—until last spring, when the track found its way to the German DJ Felix Jaehn. His tropical house remix, released by Ultra, recontextualized the song within a global pop conversation with the likes of Nico & Vinz's "Am I Wrong" and Robin Schulz's remix of "Prayer In C"—songs with upbeat messages and similarly long, cross-country origin stories. While those other hits have faded over the winter, "Cheerleader" is sitting pretty atop Shazam's global charts and breaking Spotify records in France and Germany, according to the label. Though its original low-budget music video—filmed for some reason in Portland—was an endearing watch, the label has wisely acknowledged the song's growth with a new beachy clip. On the one hand, the new one's pretty simple, just a diverse crew happily dancing. On the other, what could nail it more? Check out that new video above, then dig the FADER premiere of its behind-the-scenes clip below. Cheerleader (Felix Jaehn Remix) Listen to Omi Cheerleader (Felix Jaehn Remix) MP3 song. A combination of Jamaican dancehall, American hip-hop, Caribbean rhythms and Spanish wit, reggaeton has, since its birth in the early 90s, shaken the world of pop music time and time again. From DJ Playero’s first mixtapes to Daddy Yankee’s “Barrio Fino” and Don Chezina’s “Tra- Tra-Tra, Puerto Rican musicians and their Colombian counterparts in Medellin have done their utmost to take over the world. In the last decade, they have done just that thanks to artists such as Luis Fonsi, J. Balvin and Bad Bunny. Read on for 10 of the genre’s most important albums. Reggaeton won’t be going anywhere any time soon. With only three studio albums, one live album and three international tours, “Lhasa” de Sela still made her unique mark on contemporary popular music. “La Llorona”, “The Living Road” and “Lhasa” are all accomplished works in their own right and open the door to a strange yet familiar world, halfway between dream and reality. Full of both light and darkness, these songs are imbued with the genuine feelings of an artist whose heartfelt vocals reach out and pull the listener in, creating an intimate relationship with the audience. Looking back at the life of “Lhasa” de Sela, the makings of a legend are visible like chapters in a novel, complete with all the emotion that comes with a beautiful but heartbreaking storyline. He was the leader of the Talking Heads, he recorded punk funk and South-American music, republished gems of world music, spent countless hours cycling through large cities throughout the world, and dabbled in dozens of other activities. Frankie Goes To Hollywood. The beating heart of the British electronic scene, label/club Fabric made a name for itself with epic nights out and legendary compilations, which have been a regular fixture in the lives of record stores and lovers of quality music since 1999. Here we take a look back at the history of a truly British institution. The musicians of Northern Europe have always brought their personal Arctic twist to all genres of music, and the world of electronic music is no exception. Here’s an overview of 11 Danish, Swedish, Norwegian and Finnish artists who have taken techno, house, disco and dub towards new horizons. Between 1967 and 1974, the Godfather turned soul into funk. Flanked by the grooviest musicians of the day, James Brown orchestrated a soundtrack to changes in American society. And everyone jumped aboard the Sex Machine! What You Need to Know About the New Song of Summer, Omi's 'Cheerleader' The pop charts have frightened me away in recent months, with offensive language like "haters gonna hate," "from the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack," and "featuring Drake," but I have just dipped my toes back in, and the water is fine. The new #1 song on Billboard's Hot 100 is Omi's "Cheerleader (Felix Jaehn Remix)," a delightful three minutes of electro-ska that I heard for the first time an hour ago and have had on repeat since. I just might learn to love pop music again, DJ Snake and all. The lyrics concern Omi's joy at having met a woman who will be his cheerleader, which to be frank is a relief; having seen the song on my iTunes charts alongside Fetty Wap (of "Trap Queen" fame), I had assumed it would be a song about fucking and/or cooking drugs with a high-school student. "Do I make you feel like cheating?/I'm like: no, not really" sings Omi, who earns instant points for delivering comparatively romantic lyrics in the emotionless voice of a male, Jamaican Siri. Overall, the track is reminiscent of lightly Jamaican-flavored '90s jams like Midi Maxi & Efti's "Bad Bad Boys," Diana King's "Shy Guy," and Ini Kamoze's "Here Comes the Hotstepper," mixed perfectly with Herb Alpert's "Rise." It's infinitely preferable to the more ska-inflected original mix, and it would sound equally at home in your local grocery store as at a 1992 Isaac Mizrahi runway show.
